Students Produce Questions

Questions are powerful tools for students. Instead of parents and teachers being the ones who ask questions, the students must be encouraged to ask themselves questions. When students ask questions, they are forming personal opinions, making connections, seeing relationships, and drawing conclusions. These skills enable students to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners. We need to encourage students to formulate their own questions without our assistance. This might require some modeling at first, but eventually students will develop this skill.
